Curved profiled sheets

Our semi-patented bending process is now used in 14 countries and is known as crimp-curving. Dupral is able to bend countless different types of profiled sheets into every imaginable radius.

Bending to angles ranging from 1 to 180 degrees, with a minimum radius of around 350 mm and a maximum sheet length of 13,000 mm (depending on the radius), and the bending of S-curves, present no problem whatsoever. Corrugated sheets (types 17-76 and 18-76) can also be shaped by means of rolling, without the need for crimp-curving.

For new profile sheet designs Dupral is able to produce the necessary crimp-curving in-house.

Curved profiled sheets

Corrugated sheet rolling

By rolling corrugated sheets (types 17-76 and 18-76) they can be curved in such a way that no deformation or buckling occurs. Rolling creates a very slightly visible springing line (straight section) at the start and the end of the sheet. Maximum thickness 1.0 mm.

Curved corner sections

Corner sections are produced from crimp-curved profile sheets. A corner section can be produced to any angle, both internal and external.

THE PROCESS:

  • Crimp-curving the profile sheets.
  • Manually sawing the profile sheets to the correct angle.
  • Assembling the parts by means of internal diagonals and blind-rivets.
  • PUR foam applied to the inside corner in order to strengthen.
  • Sealing the outside corner for water tightness.
  • Possible painting of the sealant bead in the color of the profiled sheet.

Ventilation slots

Our crimp-curving machine also allows ventilation slots to be produced on profile sheets. The ventilation slots can be applied across nearly the entire sheet in order to create the required ventilation for your premises or shed.
